Narise initially travelled to the United Kingdom to pursue a Degree in Political Science but later opted to work towards a career in the culinary field due to her passion towards cooking and creating dishes.
She is the two time winner of the Time Out restaurant Awards in 2014 and 2015 respectively, and is also the recipient of two CitiFact awards 2016 and 2018.
She has made a number of appearances in several television cooking programmes in addition to conducting Bahraini cooking lessons to visiting tourists and resident expatriates. Her skills led her to be nominated for the young female entrepreneur award within the Deauville Partnership with Arab countries in 2013. She was also selected as one of the ambassadors for the Bahrain pavilion at Expo Milan 2015 together with her role as cafè director and additionally was the trainer for the Italian chefs who cooked the Pavilion’s Bahraini cuisine on a daily basis.
Narise is the proprietor of Saffron by Jena and Jena Bakery, two unique and very popular outlets in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is a wife and mother to four children, Mahmood, Nabil, Jena and Rakan.
